Diagnostic Nasal Endoscopy

Updated: Dec 12, 2022

Diagnostic nasal endoscopy is an OPD procedure in which a small camera is inserted into the nose in order to examine the nasal passages and sinuses. It is done under local anaesthesia. The procedure is used to evaluate symptoms such as nasal congestion, sinus infections, and facial pain; diagnose structural abnormalities of the nose and sinuses; and detect the presence of nasal polyps or other growths in the nasal passages. It is also used to identify the site of bleeding and possible causes in cases of nasal bleeding (epistaxis).

The procedure takes 10 minutes and is painless.
